Throughout the first quarter of 2024, the performance of the leading communication apps in Italy exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at the top five apps: Telegram, Azar: Video Chat & Meet People, Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out, Skype, and imo-International Calls & Chat.

Telegram saw a significant rise in weekly revenue, reaching around $37.2K by the last week of February. Weekly downloads spiked in late February, peaking at approximately 108.5K in the final week of March. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained strong, peaking at about 11.7M in late February before stabilizing at 11.5M towards the end of March.

Azar: Video Chat & Meet People experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, culminating in approximately $45.4K in the last week of March. Downloads exhibited a notable rise towards the end of the quarter, reaching 17.1K in the same period. imo-International Calls & Chat saw a slight decrease in weekly revenue, concluding the quarter at about $3.5K. Weekly downloads fluctuated but ended at approximately 5.9K. Active users showed a downward trend, decreasing from around 339.3K in early January to about 297.4K by the end of March.
